Still need more work but it’s doing good.

One curious thing… it asks for Touch ID to unlock my iPad although this version does not have TouchID

I don’t know where the screen recordings go, so, I was unable to put one here using that feature.

Yes, electron is bad and if you use Electron for serious app development you should feel bad.

Having tools to prototype is cool, HTML and JavaScript are widely known, as markup and programming languages, but having a full apps that are more dependencies than the app itself is in my opinion wrong.

A 100 Mb app in RAM might not mean something in new computers with 16GB of RAM but I think on the resources you are wasting and your crappy app is it even well integrated to the OS.

I have to use them, but seriously, does it makes any difference to run the web app directly in the browser ??

Linux file manager security exploit leaves a “Bad Taste”

I don’t know what’s the point of integrating Windows features into Linux if they are not going to be native. Integrating VBScript on linux to run in the File Manager?. Why?

If you need a “Windows-only” feature then run windows, with the current machines you can do it perfectly in a Virtual Machine if you want to still run Linux/macOS, if there is a vulnerability it will be isolated to your VM.

Anyway… I vote for “integrating” stuff written for other OS into the main OS.

A new vulnerability that impacts Linux systems has been discovered by a researcher. The vulnerability, which affects the GNOME Files file manager, has already been patched by the Debian Project.

Of course install it on a non-primary, non-daily-driver device because as far as I can tell, is unstable and slow, not what you’d expect from a stable release, but hey, you know that, it’s beta software.

So, why install it??, as far as Beta 3 it’s kind of usable with some minor glitches and slow response of the keyboard, but you’ll get the updates and will known when it is ready for you to use with your iPhone or daily-drive device.

You can get used to the mayor changes that it introduces… did you know that the keyboard layout for non-letters keys changed??
